Hydrangea Stamps

Hydrangea Stamps

Hydrangeas are a flowering plant native to Asia and the Americas. The greater variety comes from China, Korea, and Japan. They flower in spring to late autumn. They can vary from shrubs to small trees, but I prefer the shrub variety (which is lucky because those are more common!). This cool little plant can sometimes act as a PH indicator for the soil as the flowers change from blue (acidic) to pink (alkaline). How cool is that! In a way it means you could slowly choose the color of the flowers. But this is a stamp blog. Let's talk stamps.

In my opinion Canada is the winner here with this bold design that doesn't hesitate to put the beautiful flowers on display. Wow!

If Canada has pink (alkaline) covered then the USA has it for blue (acidic) in this set of flowery stamps.

Which pretty much covers it - we have pink and blue! I'd love to have found some from the Asian countries but they didn't seem easy to find, which is a shame. So instead I'm off to see if there's a suitable place in the garden to plant one.
