Hello readers and thanks for visiting today! If this is your first time visiting my site, welcome! Today I am sharing my Design Team card for the Watercooler Wednesday "All About Holidays" challenge. Ugh, I am SO not inspired to create Christmas cards when it's 97 degrees outside and it's only July 25th! Anyone else? It's just not right! But, because of the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE DSP sale this month at Stampin' UP! I had stocked up on Designer Series Paper and I am really liking the beautiful patterns in this new paper pack called "Under the Mistletoe."
*Full supply list at end of post.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Basic Black cardstock. The first matted layer of plaid paper was cut from the "Under the Mistletoe" DSP. For the next layer, I cut a polka dotted piece from the "Under the Mistletoe" DSP and adhered it to a Basic Black Stitched Scalloped Rectangle (dies from Gina Marie Designs). Using the Large Letter Framelit dies, I die cut the letters "J", "O" and "Y" from Real Red cardstock and adhered them to the center of the card using Foam Adhesive Strips. I applied two coats of Clear wink of Stella to each of the letters for added sparkle. Lastly I cut a strip of Basic Black cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment "Tis the Season" in white embossing powder. The sentiment was adhered to the center of the word "JOY" using Stampin' Dimensionals.
