Hello readers and happy Sunday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far! I am sitting here anxiously awaiting my mother's arrival this afternoon from Maine. I'm so excited to spend the next week with my very best friend.
After sharing today's card with you, I'll be taking a few days off to spend time with her.
Yay! (Insert vacation happy dance here.)
I hope you enjoy today's Clean and Simple (CAS) wine themed card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
I'll be back here on June 1st for the monthly Blogging Friends Blog Hop.
See you then!
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Merry Merlot cardstock (available beginning June 1). I ran a piece of Whisper White cardstock through my Big Shot using a Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs to create the first layer. After I die cut the rectangle, I ran it through my Big Shot again using a retired polka dot embossing folder. I stamped three of the wine bottles in Versamark ink onto Merry Merlot cardstock and heat embossed them with White Stampin' Emboss powder. After these images cooled, I fussy cut each bottle with my Paper Snips. I adhered the three wine bottles to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink on a strip of Whisper White cardstock and adhered some Gold 1/8" ribbon underneath the cardstock strip before adhering the sentiment over the wine bottles. Lastly, I added two coats of Clear Wink of Stella to the wine bottles for added sparkle.
Today's card was inspired by the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches:
I hope today's card inspires YOU to create something beautiful!
