Hello friends and TGIF! Can you believe that it reached 80 here yesterday!? It broke the previous record by 12 degrees. It was far too nice outside to be working inside. I was almost tempted to
teach my stamp camp out on the back deck!
I hope you've all had a nice week and are looking forward to the weekend ahead.
One of my BSF's (Best Stamping Friends) Donna from Papyrus is in town from California and we have a few fun things planned that include Starbucks runs, scrapbooking stores and a
shoebox swap. Lots of chatting, eating and stamping, of course! The only thing that will be missing is our dear friend, Ginny from Maxam Made Studio, who moved to Texas last year and she was present for our last shoebox swap.
What I'm Reading:
Dee Williams’s life changed in an instant when she was diagnosed with a heart condition at age forty-one, she was all too suddenly reminded that life is short, time is precious, and she wanted to be spending hers with the people and things she truly loved. Deciding to build an eighty-four-square-foot house—on her own, from the ground up—was just the beginning of building a new life. Part how-to, part personal memoir, The Big Tiny is the art of slowing down, scaling back, and appreciating the truly important things in life.
What I'm Watching:
ABC's newest drama starring Joan Allen as the mayor of a small fictional Maine town whose son went missing ten years ago and mysteriously shows up as she debates a run for governor. But, is he really who he says he is?
What I'm Eating:
Pizzelle. Lemon or Vanilla. I don't seem to be too selective right now. TJ Maxx usually has them for only $2.99 a box. Sure, they're only like 20 calories each, but when you mow down a package of 10 at a time. . .
What I'm Buying (non-stamp related)
The most comfortable white Nubuck Leather Coach Fredrica loafers. These will be perfect for summer outfits, both dressy and casual wear. Plus, they are a classic wardrobe staple that never goes out of style, which makes the splurge a little easier to reason with.
What I'm Googling:
Mr. SSG and I are looking to treat ourselves to a long getaway weekend sometime in May before tourist season begins on the East Coast. We are looking on Airbnb for some cottages by the sea in the Rockport or Gloucester areas.
This week's stamp haul:
Okay. . . so, maybe 11 stamp sets and 2 dies in one purchase is a bit excessive! But, hey, what's excessive to one is just necessity to the other.
Okay, so stamps being a "necessity," is probably debatable.
But, let's look at it this way. . .
Stamps = Fun & Happy and Fun & Happy = no need for Prozac.
It's a win-win situation.
