As the saying goes, "there is always something to be thankful for." Today, it's sunshine and The Ton Stamps! I have long admired the elegant designs inspired by haute couture and modern florals that is the underlying vision behind this company, but until recently I only had used this stamp set by The Ton. I purchased four border stamp sets a couple weeks ago and over the weekend found a little time to use one of them. Today's color"fall" card features the Sunflower Border Cling Background.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock. To create the scalloped border I ran a sheet of Early Espresso cardstock through my Big Shot using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies by Gina Marie Designs. On a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock, I stamped the Sunflower Border Cling Background in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in gold embossing powder. I colored in the flowers using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. I die cut the word "thankful" from both Early Espresso cardstock and Crushed Curry cardstock and layered them together. I adhered the sentiment to the card using Foam Adhesive Strips to pop up the sentiment. Lastly I added a few randomly placed gold sequins for added sparkle.
Look at that gold embossing!
This card is even more gorgeous in person as the camera doesn't really capture the sparkle of the gold embossing and reflective details. I loooove how it turned out and now I can't wait to try the three other background stamp sets I purchased!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
