Hello friends and happy Thursday! I woke up to softly falling snow this morning and while I was praying for a snow day, I don't think our forecast is predicting enough snow for that. It's only 5 am though, my email might still chime in with a weather notification. Fingers crossed!
Earlier this week I shared a card with you I made using the Cake Soiree bundle featured in the NEW 2018 Spring Occasions Catalog. A lot of you commented that you really liked that card, as did I! For today's card I used that same stamp, but the focus is on that beautiful confetti foil paper in the background. The paper is part of a new Designer Series Paper called Sweet Soiree and it is even prettier in person. Foil is really hard to photograph properly given it's reflective qualities, so these photos don't really show you how sparkly and shiny the paper is. I promise, it is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L and you need it. NOW.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Thick Whisper White cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Sweet Soiree DSP to layer on top of the white card base. Using the Sweet Cake framelit dies, I cut the
cake stand and base out of Silver Foil Paper. On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I heat embossed the cake in Silver Stampin' Emboss powder and die cut it using my Big Shot. On a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, I heat embossed three flowers in Whisper White Stampin' Emboss powder and adhered them to the top of the cake using Stampin' Dimensionals. Next, I stamped the "for you" sentiment on a sheet of Blushing Bride cardstock and also heat embossed it with Whisper White Stampin' Emboss powder. I used a 1 1/4" circle punch to punch out the sentiment and then I adhered the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
