Hello readers and happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather was beautiful here and I surprised Mr. SSG with a weekend at Lakeside Estates B&B in Otis, MA. It was an early anniversary gift (we celebrate 13 years on July 2) at this small, quiet lakefront inn. Thanks to the most beautiful weather, we spent our time reading on the porch swings, swimming, kayaking and even making s'mores around an evening campfire with the B & B owners. I had debated about planning a weekend trip to the beach, or a lake retreat, and, after 13+ years, I think we've established we are freshwater people more than we are saltwater. We are also not big on crowds, so quiet country getaways are more our style. It was so relaxing and peaceful.
Here are a couple of photos from the weekend:
Now, it was entirely by coincidence that the card I had pre-scheduled to share with you today was ocean themed - given our weekend by the lake! This is a retired Stampin' UP set called "By the Ocean," but, it remains one of my go-to sets simply for the beautiful seashells. The only downside? This stamp set was pre-die cutting era! So, each shell is fussy cut. By hand. Ugh.
My friend Karla would not like this card! Hahaha! Love you, Karla!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
