Sending Love Your Way

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it.  It's one of those Hallmark holidays that kind of sneaks up on you after the mad rush of Christmas ends and the depths and despair of the winter doldrums take over.  While I don't get sucked into the insanely overpriced red roses and chocolates malarky, I do enjoy spreading the love in the form of cute Lawn Fawn cards with my friends and family!

Card details:

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Thick Whisper White cardstock.  I embossed a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Blushing Bride cardstock with a retired cloudy skies embossing folder.  Using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Pop Up I cut the snowbank out of Whisper White cardstock.  Using Real Red ink I stamped the sentiment in the bottom lower right corner of the snowbank before adhering it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. I created the mailbox from Smoky Slate cardstock and Whisper White cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Happy Mail die.  Using Real Red ink, I stamped the two envelopes on Whisper White cardstock and then fussy cut them (although there is a matching die that I do not currently own)!

I stamped two birds from the Lawn Fawn's Winter Sparrow set in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I adhered the birds to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Lastly, I punched out three small hearts (using a retired Stampin' UP! punch) from Real Red cardstock and also adhered them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
