Hello there and Happy Monday! I know I've been a bit delinquent in my posts over the past few days, but it was simply because we were at a scrapbooking/crop/crafting weekend at Pilgrim Pines in Swanzey, NH! (And there was little to no internet/cell phone service up there). Plus, when you have a website, you can't exactly advertise that you are going away for the weekend. . . But, I promise you, there will be MANY posts this week! I have lots of pictures from the weekend, challenge cards, and more, so be sure to come back and visit and visit often!
Yup, there was snow. . . And ice. . . And cold. . . Oh, was it cold! MINUS 4 degrees cold, if we need to get specific! Ask the two women from California what they thought of the cold!!
One of the lakeside cabins:
The dining accomodations. Yes, that woman is wearing pajama bottoms! (Most of us wore our comfy clothes ALL weekend long!) It's fabulous! But, oh, the food was SO wonderful (and plentiful)! We kicked off the first morning with a French Toast bake, a recipe straight from Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman. Then there was the tomato or beef and rice soup, lemon bars, molasses cookies, ooey-gooey chocolate-y brownies, turkey pot pie, stuffed chicken, baked Swai (Swai is a white fish, in case you were wondering. . . ), the dill salad dressing. . . Trust me, the food alone is worth going back for!
My cozy little cabin-esque room:
Another guest room:
The Chapel (top floor) and Undercroft (bottom floor) in which we did all our crafting. Now mind you, all you do ALL day (and if you're up to it ALL night) long is craft. Sure, you break for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but other than that, you start in right after breakfast and stamp until you can't! Or crop until you drop!
Our crafting group:
The snack table. (Need I really explain?)
The very first card I completed (Card #1):
The very last card I completed (Card #100).
Yup, you read that right! Card #100! It was my own personal goal to complete 100 cards over the 4-day weekend. By lunchtime on Sunday just as everyone else was packing up to leave, I hit 96 cards. I was quite happy with that number and okay by calling it at 96 cards, but the rest of the group practically forced me to make the last 4 cards after lunch! Thank you all for cheering me on as I did meet that goal!
Don't attempt to try and figure out my math below! There were some very late nights and my slashes might not entirely make sense!
Here they are - 100 cards! Don't forget to come back later in the week for my favorite Top 10 cards made during the weekend!
It truly was a wonderful weekend at Pilgrim Pines! Good friends, good food and great fun really sums it up well. We are planning on attending another weekend in mid-November or early December, so I would HIGHLY encourage you to sign up and come with us. We are hoping to make it a twice annual event! I promise you won't regret it!
