Hello readers and happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I enjoyed a nice relaxing four day break from work, but it was so tough to go back today! Ugh, that 6 am alarm clock was no fun at all. I must have watched at least a dozen new Hallmark Christmas movies (my favorite!) and I spent a lot of time in my craft room. As a result, I have lots of fresh new ideas and content to share with you in the coming weeks! One thing I have been trying to focus on is to share more samples with you featuring cards that utilize the same product or stamp set, so that you see various ways to use what you already have. Perhaps by offering alternative colors or layouts you will find even more inspiration when you visit here.
Today's card features the beautiful Peruvian Lily stamp set from Altenew. I love, love, love layering dies and this stamp set is just stunning in all the colors. Because let's face it, when you have no idea what colors real Peruvian Lilies are, you stamp them in the entire color spectrum! Flowers are always a good choice for birthday, sympathy and get well soon cards.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I die cut the first layer from Neenah Solar White Smooth cardstock using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink. I stamped the two layer leaves using Pear Pizzazz ink and Garden Green ink. On a separate sheet of Neenah Solar White cardstock I stamped the Peruvian Lily in layers using Rich Razzleberry ink, Melon Mambo ink, Sweet Sugarplum ink and Blushing Bride ink. I die cut the lily using the coordinating die cut and adhered them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height. I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers for added sparkle. Lastly, I added pink rhinestones randomly placed around the flowers.
Here is a closer look at the clear Wink of Stella I added on the lilies to make them sparkle:
