Today's card was designed for a sketch over at the Paper Craft Crew. Here is the sketch for Challenge #64:
I really was drawn to this layout. If there was every a layout that might speak to me, this kind of sketch would be it. It has layers, dimensions, mixture of shapes, ribbons and sentiments. It has everything (except the kitchen sink) . Initially I saw images of Santa as the big rectangle and perhaps a stocking in that little oval. Lots of glimmer paper and maybe even some jolly jingle bells. . . So, pray tell, then, how did I go from those thoughts to this:
Somewhere in the middle of all that Christmas merriment, I thought to myself, self, it's just too darn early for the jolly guy. I love ya, old St. Nick, but can we get through Halloween first?
So, here was my thought process:
Jingle bells and ho, ho, ho's
Music and Halloween (where did that come into play?)
Flowers and music
Fabulous Florets, naturally. . .
*Note: After I uploaded my card to the gallery at Paper Craft Crew, I saw that one of the DT members, Glenda, had also used the Modern Medley DSP music paper as well. AGGHHHH! Wish I had seen her creation first and then I purposely would have used something different. But, alas, great minds must think alike.
Thanks for stopping by and witnessing my Sunday moments of OCD.
Have a S-U-P-E-R day!
