Welcome to a new Super Stamp Girl series called "Art Imitating Life." This new series inspired by the Oscar Wilde quote above, really all began the other afternoon when I was sitting on my front steps (waiting ever-so-patiently for UPS to deliver a Stampin' Up! box).
Look! A Super Stamp Girl leg-selfie! Band-Aid and all. Nope, I didn't even Photoshop that out for ya! Hey, we all have our own perfect imperfections.
So, as I sat there waiting patiently, all the while picking at that Band-Aid, making a mental note to buy some more cutsie type designs, I also more closely examined my dress pattern thinking it would make for a great color combination. Yup, that's exactly what I thought sitting there on my front steps! I wasn't listening to the doves cooing to each other, or paying any attention to the Ding Dong Cart and his "Pop goes the Weasel" song beckoning all the kids to run into the streets for ice cream.
I thought, how can I turn "life into art?"
It turns out, it's quite easy to do! I went inside and made a dress card inspired by my very own dress!
So, that's a little bit of history behind this new series. I will be taking everyday life and turning it into art to show you how we can find inspiration in the most unlikely of places.
And, because "art" can be so vastely interpreted, I'll leave you with just a little smile.
Thanks for visiting. I look forward to your comments and hope you have a S-U-P-E-R day!
