Hello friends and happy ridiculously cold Sunday to you! I hope you have warm INdoor things planned for the day. I haven't left my house since I got home on Friday. It was a hot cocoa and couch potato kind of weekend! Given that it's been on average of about 10 degrees below zero outside here in Massachusetts the past few days, being a mermaid sounds pretty good right about now!
Another great reason to be a mermaid - thigh gaps accepted!
Today I'm sharing a beautiful card inspired by the challenge at Case This Sketch.
How gorgeous is this beautiful alcohol ink background for today's card!? For more details on how I created the background please CLICK HERE.

The base of this A2 sized card is Bermuda Bay cardstock. I created the background on Yupo paper using Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Inks in the following colors: Pool, Turquoise, Stream, Aqua and Silver Metallic Mixative. I blended the alcohol inks on a 5 1/4" x 4' piece of Yupo paper and blew the color around with a drinking straw. Once this dried, I adhered the background to the Bermuda Bay cardstock base. On a sheet of Pacific Point cardstock, I die cut two waves using the Mama Elephant Creative Cuts Ocean Waves Trio and adhered them to the bottom of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
On a sheet of Pacific Point cardstock I heat embossed the mermaid's tail in White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I adhered the tail between the waves using Stampin' Dimensionals. On a small scrap of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink and adhered the strip over the mermaid's tail with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added three sequins with mini glue dots above the sentiment. Lastly I added Clear Wink of Stella to the ocean waves to give some additional sparkle.
This card was inspired by the challenge at Case This Sketch (I flipped it upside down):
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
