Hello readers and happy Sunday! I hope you have all enjoyed a great weekend. The weather here in Massachusetts was simply beautiful with fall like temperatures and lots of sun.
Before we get to today's card, I'd like to share a personal announcement. After six years as an Independent Demonstrator, I have made the decision to separate from Stampin' UP! effective October 1. This has not been an easy decision for me and one that I have had to deeply consider. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Stampin' UP! and am forever grateful because it afforded me the opportunity to meet the most amazing women and make lifelong friends. Ultimately my decision to leave SU all came down to freedom in creativity. I want to create the cards I want, with whatever products I desire, without oversight. What this means for you is essentially nothing! Super Stamp Girl will remain Super Stamp Girl. I will continue this site as I have for the past six years only with a newfound sense of creative freedom and an independent renewed energy.
I embrace this small change wholly and look forward to wherever this new path takes me and I sincerely hope you, my readers and friends, will continue to follow and support me.
Now, let's get to today's card! This festive card is made from the "Making Christmas Bright" stamp set from Stampin' UP! Yes, I will continue to use Stampin' UP! products, because I do believe in the quality of their products. And, well, let's be frank,
I have A LOT! I liked this stamp set in particular because it has a coordinating punch and that just makes life SO much easier!

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Crumb Cake cardstock. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle Dies from Gina Marie Designs, I die cut the first mat from Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Real Red ink on the lower right hand corner of the Whisper White cardstock. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped the light strings in a diagonal pattern across the card and colored the lights in with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Ink markers.
Using the coordinating light bulb punch, I punched light bulbs out of Real Red cardstock, Blueberry Bushel cardstock, Granny Apple Green cardstock and Daffodil Delight cardstock. I punched the socket of each lightbulb out of Silver Glimmer paper. Using a white gel pen I added a small line on the lightbulb to make it appear as though it has a reflection. I also added Clear Wink of Stella over each lightbulb for added sparkle. I adhered all lightbulbs to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
