Why am I in the kiTchen on this T(ea) for Tuesday you ask? Because of this darn thing called a "Polar Vortex" that is once again sweeping across the northeast (and likely other places in the U.S. too) making it practically insufferable to be outside. It's SO cold that we actually need to have a name for it? For those like me, with asthma, it's pretty much a sure death wish of the lungs to venture out in the bitter cold weather. So, I'm in the kitchen baking up a storm! And, speaking of storms, we are also in for one of those later tonight and into tomorrow! Hawaii sounds real good right about now. . .
The good news is I'll have plenty to eat if we are knee deep in snow or without power!
There's a blueberry pie, a beef stew, and some chai boiling there on the back burner.
Oops, you weren't supposed to see my little sample from the pie!! You'll have to take my word that it was splendid.
And, I also made some Red Velvet crinkle cookies for my ladies at stamp camp tonight. Which, I suspect will be canceled due to the weather. What am I possibly going to do with 3 dozen Red Velvet cookies???? I bet you all have some ideas! Cookies at Crystal's!
I also made a pitcher of iced blueberry green Tea (for Tuesday)! My brother and SIL sent this canister of tea to me from China when they adopted their daughter there, along with some great other local goodies.
If you're curious about more T(ea) for Tuesday's, please check out Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog. She is responsible for getting us to come together every Tuesday and share a cuppa.
Also, thank you to those fellow T(ea)'rs who visited my blog last week. I did visit every one of your sites too, only many of the blogger sites, will not allow me to post my comments, as the moderations/controls are limited. So, I apologize for not being able to leave you comments. I wish I could!
Thanks for stopping by and have a S-U-P-E-R day!
