Hello friends! I'm sorry that I have been a bit absent for the past few days and over the long holiday weekend. I ended up coming down with some head cold/sore throat thing, but it was the body aches that were THE WORST! I also had my flu shot administered two days into not feeling well and the doctor even said I might feel worse than I already did. Boy, was he was 100% right! Today the sore throat is still lingering, which might be a silent scream for Ben and Jerry's Milk & Cookies for dinner. I'm pretty sure ice cream is always a good answer!
Today I am sharing a Halloween themed card made with a fun stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called If the Hat Fits. This stamp set is filled with lots of fun witch-y greetings. I promise this card is not quite so blinding in person! I know, I know, holy brightness! And ya'll know that I don't "do" bright things. So sure, maybe this card is slightly scary (if only in shocking yellow limeness), but it's Halloween, so it's all good.
*Full supply list at end of post.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Using the spiderweb stamp from Fun Stamper's Journey I stamped the spiderweb directly onto the card base in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs to die cut a medium rectangle from Basic Black cardstock. I adhered a 3 1'4" x 4 1/4" sheet of Whisper White cardstock to the black scalloped rectangle mat. On the Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment, spiders and witches legs in Tuxedo Black ink. I randomly stamped some "grunge" in Lemon Lime Twist ink. On a separate sheet of Basic Black cardstock, I heat embossed the witches' hat in white embossing powder and fussy cut the hat. I adhered the hat to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height. Lastly I added a coat of Clear Wink of Stella to the hat for extra sparkle.
And because I was having so much fun with this super bright Lemon Lime Twist color, I thought I'd scare you with a second card today too!
I hope you have enjoyed today's cards.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
