Recently I had some guests stay with me who were traveling to Virginia to attend the Appalachian Trail Member's Convention. I made sure each guest's room was supplied with its own little "snack station" to include water bottes, granola bars and GORP (also known as Granola, Oats, Raisins and Peanuts or "trail mix"). It doesn't take much time at all and it's so easy to take everyday things and add a little bit of paper pizzazz to really WOW your guests. I promise, they will appreciate the added personal touch.
On a side note, you can tell the trail mix above was for my guests, because when I make trail mix, this is what it looks like:
