Hello readers and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I began mine on Friday night with a massage and a facial. A super relaxing way to kick off the evening! I was actually in bed by 8 pm I was that relaxed! Then on Saturday, we started our Christmas shopping (no joke)! You are probably going to hate me when I say yes, we always start Christmas shopping this early and are finished (sometimes even wrapped) by Thanksgiving! I just find that it makes the holiday season so much less stressful and far more enjoyable not to have to visit a mall or department store in December! On Saturday night we went out to dinner in Northampton at Mulino's. We started with red wine sangria and pumpkin ravioli in a ginger cream sauce and followed it up with an entree of Bistecca Gorgonzola, which was a filet mignon smothered in gorgonzola cheese. YUMMY! On Sunday I spent most of the day in my craft room, so it really was a fantastic weekend for me! I feel accomplished, rested and well fed!
Last week I talked about the new Country Lane Suite in the new 2018 Holiday Occasions catalog and today I am sharing the first card I made with this beautiful stamp set:
*Full supply list at end of post.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Tranquil Tide cardstock. The first 5 3/4" x 4 1'4" sheet of paper is from the Frosted Lane Designer Series Paper Pack. Using the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs, I cut a medium sized rectangle out of Soft Suede cardstock. I adhered a strip of the Chicken Wire Element to the center of this cardstock. Using Tuxedo Memento black ink, I stamped the water pitcher on Basic Gray cardstock and fussy cut the water pitcher out. I stamped the floral bouquet in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.
I colored in the floral arrangement with my Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. I then fussy cut the flowers out. I adhered both the water pitcher and flowers to the right side of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added a layer of Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers and pitcher for added sparkle. I tied a little faux bow using the White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon and adhered it to the water pitcher with a glue dot. Lastly, using Soft Suede ink, I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
