Hello readers! On Tuesday I introduced you to a rubberstamp company called Creative Vision Stamps owned by my friend Laura Bastian. Today I am sharing a fun stamp set called Geology Rocks from another small independently owned business called Heffy Doodle. Heffy Doodle is owned and operated by a husband and wife team based out of Guildford, England. The creative artist behind Heffy Doodle is Lesley Oman, a talented and whimsical designer who was finally convinced by her husband, Craig, to turn her doodles into stamps. Heffy Doodle is a relatively new stamp company that got its start in 2017 through a Kickstarter campaign! I love that together these two made their creative dreams come true!
Craig and Lesley reached out to me after seeing my work on Instagram and offered to send me some of the Heffy Doodle products. One of the stamp sets I selected was this one entitled, Geology Rocks, because it was unlike any other stamp I already owned. I created a unique turquoise alcohol ink background to highlight these gems. To read more about how I create basic alcohol ink backgrounds, please click HERE.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Whisper White cardstock. I created the background on a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Yupo paper and used Tim Holtz Ranger Alcohol Inks in the colors Mermaid, Pool and Aqua. I stamped the two gems on Bermuda Bay cardstock and heat embossed them in white embossing powder and fussy cut them (although there are coordinating dies!) I adhered both gems to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height. I put two layers of clear Wink of Stella over the gems for added sparkle. I die cut the sentiment "You" out of Gold Glimmer paper. Lastly I stamped the sentiment "you rock my world" in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White cardstock. I notched both ends before adhering the sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here is the Geology Rocks stamp set from Heffy Doodle:
