Wow, if there was ever a month when I was so glad I set myself a craft budget, it was February! Unrelated to anything crafting, Mr. Super Stamp Girl and I were hit with some large and unexpected, bills last month. There was the $1,100 vet bill for Sadie (she's okay now), plus $800 for a new laptop. Our current one legit died. And, after a few lukewarm showers, we also believe that our hot water heater is soon to follow the laptop in appliance heaven. While these things are beyond our control, they are still very stressful and, if anything, it has made me realize I can do EVEN better with my craft budget.
Most of the purchases I made in February were with the goal of upcoming classes in mind. However, the last two dies from Lawn Fawn (totaling over $50 bucks) were "cave in purchases." I NEEDED to have them!
But really, I didn't.
They were new and shiny toys that were simply a result of too much time spent online browsing during our Craft Retreat on the Cape.
Keeping February's all-around expenses in mind, my goal is to spend EVEN less forthcoming.
Starting in March, I would like to challenge myself to a lower craft budget of $200 per month.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
