Hello friends and happy Friday! I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend ahead! Tomorrow I am getting together with five other fellow demonstrator's for our monthly shoebox swap. The last time we all got together was at OnStage Local earlier this month in Hartford, so I'm guessing we'll still be talking lots about that, and maybe even using some of our new catalog products! As for the rest of the weekend I am hoping to get down in my craft room and create lots of samples using those new products for next week's Sneak Peek Week on Super Stamp Girl!
Be sure to check back in on Monday to see lots of new things throughout the week!
Today's card was inspired by the "Favorite Florals" challenge with Stampin' UP! Only, however I didn't read the instructions quite thoroughly enough because I was supposed to use my favorite floral stamp set and not just my favorite floral anything. Oops! But, because I think this card turned out really pretty I wanted to share it anyway! Currently, the Sweet Soiree Designer Series Paper is one of my favorite patterns and it made for a beautiful background on this card. This DSP will be retiring at the end of May, along with many other products, so be sure to shop the last chance products before things sell out!
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Whisper White cardstock. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Sweet Soiree DSP and mounted it onto a sheet of Old Olive cardstock. Before adhering it to the card base, I wrapped a piece of Berry Burst ribbon around the DSP. I die cut a small circle from another print of the Sweet Soiree DSP and placed it just above the ribbon. Using Berry Burst cardstock, I die cut the dragonfly and adhered it to the die-cut circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. I added three clear rhinestone basic jewels to the dragonfly and a coat of Clear Wink of Stella for added sparkle. Lastly, I die cut the "amazing" sentiment out of silver foil paper and adhered it to the ribbon using Fine Tip Glue.
Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
