Hello friends and happy Tuesday to you! Did you check out some of the awesome deals for Stampin' UP's! Online Extravaganza yet? If not, click here so you don't miss out! This special online only sale started Monday, November 21st and will end Monday, November 28th.
Today I have two cards to share with you. This first is my Stamp Ink Paper
Design Team card. This week we are having a color challenge using pool, copper and white. I knew that the only thing I owned with copper was copper embossing powder, so that left me with little choice. . . Embossing it is! I needed to find something that would look beautiful embossed and I think this Altenew Sketchy Landmarks stamp set with Westminster Abbey couldn't have been more perfect! I used Pool Party cardstock and white heat embossing to make a subtle starry sky background to enhance the serene and peaceful church.
List of Supplies:
Paper: Pool Party cardstock//Whisper White cardstock
Ink: Pool Party//Versamark
Stamps: Sketchy Landmarks (by Altenew) and Star of Light (Stampin' UP!)
Accessories: Heat Tool//Embossing Buddy//Copper Embossing Powder//Landscape die (by A Muse Studio)//Stampin' Trimmer//Paper Snips//Rhinestone Basic Jewels//Snail Permanent
The next card I am sharing with you today is my Design Team card for the Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch challenge. I was very skeptical about the sketch at first. I thought for sure whatever card I made was guaranteed to be very boxy looking based upon the sketch (below). But, after about three entirely different looks and themes in which everything looked as I thought it might, all boxy and choppy looking, I settled with this card that I ended up really liking A LOT! I love it when that happens!
