I will admit, today's card might not be for the squeamish or faint of heart! But, I have been waiting all week long for this post to go live! I'm so giddy I can barely contain my excitement!
What do you see when you see this stamp set called "Gorgeous Grunge?"
Don't you see a crime scene just waiting to happen?
No? Not really?
You don't see high velocity bloodspatter and arterial bleedouts?
No? Ewww, gross, is probably what you are thinking. . .
Do you see a little crime scene barrier tape or tire treadmarks?
No? It's just me then and a downside of my job?
Well, I've hesitated buying this stamp set for over a year now because I only saw death. While others saw "art" and "collages," I saw nothing but bloodstains. So, I finally decided to embrace my inner CSI girl and just go with it. No, the "body" was not part of this stamp set, just a little freehand draw on my part! And, thanks to a simple Word document, I printed out the "Crime Scene Do Not Cross" wording to adhere over the stamped diagonal stripes.
I am also entering the card into the Stampin Up Only challenge this week with it's theme of "stamping a background." Hmmmmm, wonder if I'll scare any of the design team away!?
Oh yeah, you are looking at a close up, gooey mess of Real Red ink and Crystal Effects giving the murder scene depicted card a very authentic feel!
I hope you are not too traumatized by today's card and come back for more tomorrow!
