I didn't plan it this way, but today is a triple post Tuesday! There's just so much exciting news to share from Super Stamp World!
My card for today was inspired by the Design Team at Create with Connie and Mary.
I'll be very honest that the "Blue Ribbon" stamp set I used for this card is not particularly a favorite of mine. It just doesn't quite W-O-W me. I'm not even sure I really like it a little bit. But, I'm determined not to give up on it just yet! Sometimes it just takes the right layout design or the right color scheme for me completely change my mind about a stamp. My card base is Crisp Cantelope cardstock. A strip of black cardstock run through the Big Shot with the scallop framelit was added to the right side border. Then I added a square of the new Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-Bration Item #133521). I LOVE this paper - it is so fun and fresh! I also embossed a piece of Pool Party cardstock with the Decorative Dots TIEF (another new Sale-a-Bration product Item #133520). I stamped the award ribbon in Crisp Cantelope and the Happy Birthday sentiment in Pool Party and pop-dotted it on. Yup, just like that. And, lastly, one simple piece of white taffeta ribbon completes this card.
I will say after completing this card, I am one step closer to liking this Blue Ribbon stamp set. I hope you do too!
Thanks for stopping by and have a S-U-P-E-R day!
