Later this month I'll be attending my first Creative Journey Art Retreat on the Cape with Jenn Shurkus and I decided it was finally time to give my craft bag a makeover!
For the past few years I have been using this Everything Mary Craft Tote, purchased at Michael's. I liked it because it was small. Small enough to hold all the basic craft essentials (scissors, adhesive, rhinestones/pop dots, Stickles, Peanut Butter Cups, etc.) but, then it became too small.
Ideally I wanted a larger craft bag to hold a bottle of water, my cell phone, wallet and a few other craft related products. But, given my new craft budget, I also wanted it to be inexpensive! During one of my weekly stamp camps, the ladies encouraged me to recycle a My Thirty One bag that I already owned. AND, it even had my business name already embroidered on it! Perfect.
I knew this bag would function well for my crafts because of all the exterior pockets.
Pockets + OCD = Happy Crystal! Yay!
Plus, it had a zip closure on the top which offered added security should it fall over upon traveling.
Who am I kidding? The zippered pocket keeps all the candy safe!
My only concern was the large single pocket on the inside of the bag, so, I purchased this simple shower caddy to fit inside for added organization:
I am loving my new upcycled craft bag! Art Retreat here I come. . . in style (and on budget)!
