When I was on vacation in Maine last week I brought many of the new products from the 2018 Holiday Occasions catalog with me. I love to craft with my mom and I knew that she was going to fall head over heels in love with the new Country Lane suite. My mom is The Pioneer Woman who met Magnolia Home at the Brimfield Antique Fair! Remember, we've talked about this? My mother? The one who has a wallpaper border in the bathroom of our 200+ year old farmhouse with outhouses on it. Outhouses! She collects firkins and butter churns and her TV stand is a hoosier.
*Side note - it's totally okay if you have no freakin' idea what in Sam Hill a "hoosier" is, we can still be friends.
If old milk cans, dried flowers, rustic pitchers and distressed tin tiles sound like the decor in the living room of your house too, I think this new suite will inspire you as much as it did my mom.
Check out page 43 of the 2018 Holiday Occasions catalog. Everything on that page, and I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g my mother said would fit in her Christmas sack. Real subtle, mom. *Side note #2 - We changed to Christmas sacks, instead of Christmas stockings, last year after collectively whining that arguably not much more than lottery tickets and Hershey bars actually fit inside a stocking.
The Country Lane Suite all starts with the Country Home stamp set:
Then you throw in the beautiful Country Lane 12 x 12" Designer Series Paper:
And the gorgeous Tin Tile Dynamic Texturized Embossing Folder:
Oh, but wait! It doesn't stop there. . . You can't have tin tiles without Galvanized Metallic Paper!
And, no card or project would be complete with some fun accessories in the form of Chicken Wire Elements and
I've got to admit, the modern contemporary person in me is really starting to like this suite.
You can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
