Products used to make today's card:
I'm going to take a break from Christmas cards today and share with you a card I created for the simply beautiful color challenge with Colour Me this week. Soft Sky and white or neutral are just stunning when paired together. Then again, I'm a blues girl. Not in the "I got the blues" kind of way, but in the I love me some blue skies, blue eyes and blue jeans blues.
Colour Me also announced that this was their 100th and (insert gasp here) final challenge. I was so sad when I read that news, so, (fingers crossed), I'm trying to pull a rabbit from a magic hat and see if we can turn their frown upside down.
Tara and Hayley - let's chat!
For the month of December, I'm going to be adding a few extra photos at the end of every post, celebrating the things I L-O-V-E about Christmas. Admittedly in the past, I have struggled with severe Grinch-iness (so much so that I have tended to bring others down with me). Last year, I made the decision to focus on the things I love about Christmas, rather all the things I didn't. What I love about this wreath is:
1. The boughs were cut by my father on our family property in Maine.
2. It was fully assembled by my step-mother, complete with real pinecones and winter berries.
3. It smells heavenly.
4. This particular wreath was given to my mother-in-law and adorns
her nursing home door = the spirit of giving.
