Today's card was inspired by the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary:
It is still freeze your (insert any body part here) off cold in Massachusetts for January, so I think snowflakes are still completely fair game! Then again, when you live in New England, snowflakes are pretty much fair game 6 months out of the year!
You really can't tell from this photo, but the snowflakes and sentiment on the card were heat embossed. It was a quick and simple, yet very elegant card to make. The base of my sized A2 card is Basic Black cardstock and matted with a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The snowflakes were all stamped in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with black embossing powder. Before you heat emboss, be sure to use that Embossing Buddy! It really does help refrain from extra powder being embossed where you don't want it! A simple piece of silver ribbon was wrapped around the card and the sentiment stamped on a scrap of Whisper White, which was also mounted on Basic Black cardstock and snipped at a banner angle.
