Hello readers and happy Friday to you! Yay! Let's celebrate because it's the start of a long 3-day holiday weekend! And, I'm starting vacation tomorrow! Double YAY!! My mom is arriving this Sunday from Maine, so I took time off from work next week to fully enjoy her visit. We have a couple day trips planned, an outlet mall shopping trip and best of all - the Heirloom Productions Rubberstamp Festival is next Friday and Saturday! So much fun!
I am grateful that my mom and I are so close. I love spending time her because she really is my best friend.
Now for today's project. . . As we are nearing summer and the height of wedding season, I thought I would create a simple money holder to share with you. I'm so happy with how beautiful this easy project turned out and while I don't have any weddings on my schedule now, I'll be saving this for some lucky bride and groom in the future!
*Full supply list at end of post.
The base of this 7" x 3 1/2" money holder is made from Thick Whisper White cardstock. The first layer of Basic Black cardstock measures 6 3/4" x 3 1/4". I ran the Basic Black cardstock through my Big Shot using the Garden Trellis Texturized Embossing folder. I die cut the letters from Gold Glimmer paper and adhered them to the card using thin Foam Adhesive strips. I die cut the stitched heart from Real Red cardstock and adhered it to the card as though it were the "O" in love. Lastly, I die cut the bride from Dazzling Diamonds cardstock and the groom from black glitter paper (sorry, source unknown). I adhered the wedding couple to the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
To make the money holder:
1. Cut a sheet of Thick Whisper White cardstock to 10" x 7".
2. On the long 10" side, score the cardstock at 3 1/2" and 7".
3. Fold the card up into a tri-fold and snip off a small corner (so money or a check will fit in).
4. Place a strip of Tear Tape on the left side of the bottom panel.
The sentiment on the inside of this card came from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set:
I hope today's project inspires YOU to create something beautiful!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful day!

Phew! Today we are taking a break from all that Lemon-Lime Twist I've been sharing here and here. Let's go back to my comfort zone with a beautiful wedding card in the ever elegant black and white.
The base of this A2 size card is made from Basic Black cardstock. From White Cardstock I cut the Bed of Roses die by Juile Ebersole and mounted that directly on top of the black base. Using Basic black cardstock, I cut one Medium Size Oval and ran it through my Big Shot using an argyle (retired) embossing folder. Then I adhered the oval to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I cut the Bride & Groom die from both Whisper White cardstock and Basic Black cardstock and adhered the couple onto the Basic Black oval using Stampin' Dimensionals. For a little extra sparkle I added silver Starform border stickers and Clear Wink of Stella to the bride's dress.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
