Hello readers, TGIF! We made it through the week! A very dreary, wet and stormy week here in Massachusetts too! Check out this photo of the hail we had on Tuesday night! I had never seen anything like it! It was crazy, and sadly, deadly, for some.
Today I am sharing a card with you that was inspired by the sketch at Global Design Project and I used the stamp set Artistically Asian to create this card. I have always loved this stamp set for it's peaceful and serene nature, but I don't use it often, nor do I find many samples from other demonstrators or on Pinterest showcasing this beautiful set.
If you own this set, I hope today's card inspires YOU to use it!
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Basic Black cardstock. I cut a 5" x 3 3/4" sheet of Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed the bamboo leaves in gold embossing powder. I stamped one of the flowers in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and matted this sheet onto a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Old Olive cardstock. I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 3 3/4" x 2" and heat embossed the Kanji words in White Embossing Powder. I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Black ink on a piece of Old Olive cardstock and cut it out in the shape of a thin rectangle. I adhered the sentiment onto a small strip of vellum before adhering it to the black center panel of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly I cut a small pennant from Gold Glimmer Paper and gold patterned acetate paper and stapled them together (with a generic stapler) before adhering them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Global Design Project:
