Today I am sharing two cards that I created that were inspired by (or "CASED") from a card Allison Okamitsu made a few years ago using the now retired Tap, Tap, Tap stamp set. CASE is a widely used term in the paper crafting industry and has a few definitions associated with it, such as Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. Essentially it is imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, on paper! You might be inspired by the colors, the layout, or the theme of a card or project you have seen in a magazine, on Pinterest or while attending a class, but then you change things up to make it your own.
Below is the original card designed by Stampin' UP! Artisan Design Team member Allison Okamisu of Nice People Stamp that today's cards were inspired from:
CASE-ing a similar layout as shown in Allison's example above, but incorporating an entirely different color scheme gives my card a whole new look:
I liked Allison's original layout so much, I decided to create a second card using another color scheme that works great for a St. Patrick's Day card:
Thanks Allison, for inspiring me to create these cards! I hope MY CASED cards will inspire YOU!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
