Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful looooong Labor Day weekend! Ugh, it's always so hard to come back to work after three days off, but I'm happy because September is the start of fall and it's my favorite season of the year. I love warm days and cool nights, all things pumpkin spice and the gorgeous fall foliage that will soon begin. I love harvest festivals and apple cider donuts. I even love that it gets darker earlier at night which means more Netflix chill time!
This week will mark week two of The Great Stamp Out, my current spending freeze, and today I am sharing the last stamp set I purchased before that spending freeze began! I had been coveting this stamp set by Altenew called "Beautiful Heart" that had been on backorder for a few weeks and when it finally arrived, I was a little bit surprised by how large the flowers actually were, but they do become a strong focal point. I have created two cards to share with you today to show you the versatility of this beautiful "Beautiful Heart" set.
*Full supply list at end of post.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Blueberry Bushel cardstock. The first matted layer is a sheet of Whisper White cardstock that was cut from the Scalloped Stitched Nesting Rectangle dies by Gina Marie Designs. I stamped the flowers using a combination of Island Indigo ink, Balmy Blue ink and Blueberry Bushel ink. After I stamped the flowers three times, there were die cut using the coordinating dies. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink, Mossy Meadow ink and Granny Apple Green ink and also cut using the coordinating dies. The flowers and leaves were adhered to the center of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. On a thin strip of Blueberry Bushel I heat embossed the sentiment in White Stampin' Emboss powder and adhered it to the center of the flowers using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Here is the second card I created also using the Beautiful Heart stamp set:
I hope you have enjoyed both of today's cards. Do you have a favorite?!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
