Are you in need of some inspiration when it comes to your cardmaking? Do you sometimes need help getting your creative juices flowing? Then, I'd highly suggest you try out of the many challenges that will inspire you with their sketches, or their color schemes. I can attest to learning so much from these challenges, especially from selecting colors to combine together that I never would have selected for myself.
Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday this week, for which I am on the Design Team:
Today is YOUR day! Break out of your funk and head on over to Try Stampin' On Tuesday and give this sketch challenge a whirl. Upload your card to our website and hear all the great things, us designers have to say about your creation!

Here are Tuesday's Weekly Deals:
Hello and Happy Sunday to you! I hope you are doing something fun and exciting this weekend! I am currently at an all day scrap-a-thon fundraiser in East Granby, CT. I wish I could say I was actually scrapbooking, or stamping along with everyone else, but alas, I am actually a vendor at today's fair! Sadly, I'm working, not playing!
Today's card is for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches:
My dear friend Ginny, from Maxam Made, first introduced me to this beautiful paper from Craft Smith. This pad is called "Blush Glam" and is simply beautiful with some gold foil, glitter and shine. To coordinate with the paper, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it in gold. The end result was a very feminine, and I think, very classy card.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a S-U-P-E-R Sunday!
Thanks to the awesomeness that is Pinterest, as well as the many Stampin' Up! demonstrators blogs that I follow, I come across so many diverse talents and super cool projects. For something different today, I thought I'd share with you what I think is one of the neatest Easter ideas created by the talented Connie Collins of Constantly Stamping:
I can't think of any pre-teen, teen, or teen-at-heart who wouldn't want one of these cool EOS lipbalms as an Easter treat! They are so trendy. Of course, I'd also highly suggest putting some chocolate in there for extra love too!
Thanks to CafePress for helping me design my first Super Stamp Girl t-shirt! My sample should be arriving in the mailbox in the next few days.
After my final review, the goal is to be able to order these shirts in bulk for you all to purchase and wear!
Hello friends and TGIF! Yes, it IS Friday, I promise, despite the title of today's post, "Mojo Monday!"
It has been a few short weeks since I last participated in any challenges and, boy, have I missed it! So, last night I sat down in my craft room and pulled together a few cards. Today's card is for the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday:
The result was a fun, yet still masculine themed card with a little bit of color! I'm loving it! And, would you believe the "stripes" down the side and across the bottom are all done with washi tape?! How cool is that? I'm totally loving the washi tape now, after my initial hesitation! The small set of train tracks is a Tim Holtz stamp.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a S-U-P-E-R weekend!

The other day I realized that while I enjoy making masuline themed cards, I don't send them out, but for the "special occasions." For my friends, mom, aunts and grams, I'll simply send them cards "just because." However, I also know that they are extremely appreciated and love seeing my handmade creations. The men? I'm not so sure. . . I secretly believe my father takes one look at his birthday cards, mumbles something to the effect of "hmmm, that's nice" and, then, before you know it, poof, it becomes firestarter. Literally.
The exception to this rule though, is of course, Mr. Super Stamp Girl. He constantly admires my creations, praises my work and even admits to being "Wow-ed" by some of the cards. Thank you, honey!
What do you think readers? Should we start a random card movement for men?
Last week I held a Copic marker in my own hand for the very first time. It was sleek, it was smooth, it was oh-so-alluring, and, at $8 bucks a pop, it was freakishly intimidating. After a two-hour class in grey intensities, blending and shading techniques (of which I have yet to grasp still), I succeeded in coloring a tulip. Yes, "a" tulip. Just one. . .
I'll let you do the math here. One tulip, FIVE markers. . .
After a two-hour class and turning up my nose at my own coloring skills (or seemingly lack thereof), Susan, the instructor, saw my frustrations and gently touched my shoulder exclaming "Crystal, my dear, there are no Copic police."
Understood. To each his (or her) own when it comes to coloring. . .
However, at $8 bucks a pop, that in and of itself, SHOULD be a Copic crime!
This past Sunday, six ladies including myself, got together for an afternoon of cardmaking, sangria drinking and an abundancy of chatting. We were celebrating (and simultaneously mourning) our dear friend, Donna, who was leaving for a new job in sunny California. What better way to send her off with a shoebox of cards made in the company of her BSF's (Best Stamping Friends).
Happy Wednesday! Wednesday's here on Super Stamp Girl mean it's time for my Design Team creation for the Paper Craft Crew challenge. Here is this week's sketch:
And here is my interpretation of the sketch:
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, if I do say so myself. And, I do! This rich combination of Blackberry Bliss and Gold Foil paper is elegant and classic. The "Hello Darling" sentiment is simply the icing on the card.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a S-U-P-E-R day!
Hello friends and Happy Monday to you! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Personally, I'm a believer that any weekend is a good weekend. If I'm not working, it's a good weekend!
Today I am sharing with you my first four cards made for the Elite Design Team at Creative Vision stamps, of which I'll be participating for the next 6 months. These are some really great stamps from an up-and-coming rubberstamp company, entirely made in the USA. And, even better, I get these stamps for FREE because I'm helping them design samples for trade shows! Please check them out online at www.creativevisionstamps.com
*Kindly excuse the less-than-superior quality of these photos today. They were not taken in my traditional studio with my digital SLR, but a cell phone in bad lighting!
It's here! It's here! It's F-I-N-A-L-L-Y and officially here! Spring has spring!
WE INTERRUPT THIS BROADCAST WITH YOUR LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST:
Yup, that's right. Nothin' says "Welcome Spring" like 3-5 more inches of snow on the very day we bid farewell to winter.
Spring this year, for me, also came with strep throat, tonsillitis and an eye infection! So, I'll see your 3-5" more inches of snow, load up on my 2,000 mg of Penicillin and curse you relentlessly from the comforts of my bed.
In the meantime, here's a simple sunshiny and spring-y hello for you this Friday! Enjoy your weekend, friends.
It's a bird. . .
It's a plane. . .
It's Mini Me!
I'd like to introduce you to a very special 7-year-old friend of mine, named Charlotte. Charlotte is the daughter of one of my BSF's (Best Stamping Friends) and loves to craft with us. She is becoming quite the talented little artist. I'll be adding a special new tab on my website just for her artwork and cards! So, please click on the ALL-NEW "Mini Me" tab above and send her your love!
BIG NEWS! Time to stock up and earn even more free products! Stamp' Up! has added to the list of Sale-A-Bration gifts you can earn with an order of $50 or more (excludes shipping and tax). Choose a free gift for EVERY $50 you spend. WHILE SUPPLIES LAST! Sale-A-Bration ends March 31!
My Digital Studio Being Discontinued - Available through May 31st
Yesterday it was announced that My Digital Studio is being discontinued as of May 31, 2015. This includes the software, digital downloads, and print services. This means that you have until May 31 to purchase any last downloads you've had on your wish list and finish any projects that you've wanted to have printed.
If you have an online account through a demonstrator, you will have through May 31st to access your digital downloads. I would strongly suggest making a backup of your downloads since you won't be able to reinstall them from your account after that date.
Boy, do I have the list of ALL lists for you today! Are you looking for that elusive stamp, or eyelets in the shape of toadstools? Well, my friends, continue reading (and bookmark) this webpage, because some day, I promise, you will want this list of websites for all things stamp related. Check out some of these great websites:
Click "Read More" to view the extensive list!
If anyone can give me a really good reason to send a card to someone that says "Kiss my grits," I'm all ears. And, lets leave mother-in-laws out of this!
When I bought this A Muse Studio stamp set, I thought it was adorable with all its fun and spunky southern sayings like, "Shut the front door" and "Heavens to Betsy", but now I just kind of feel like a snarky 13-year-old.
So, it's Friday, and nothing says Happy Friday like "Kiss my grits" workweek!
Enjoy your weekend, friends.
Last night, my dear friend Ginny from Maxam Made, taught my monthly regular Techniques class. She focused solely on digital stamping, something she has been doing beautifully for years. It was so fun for me, because I actually got to participate in the class myself, instead of doing all the work that is usually required for stamp camp! *Note to self - get teachers more often!
A special thanks to Sue and Terry who came to their first ever class at my house (and Sue's first ever try at stamping!) I think they enjoyed themselves as they've signed up for ALL of my classes! And, a big thank you to Ginny for sharing her knowledge of digital work with us! Please visit her website here to save these digital files and many others for yourself.
Happy Wednesday, my friends! Wednesday's mean Paper Craft Crew Design Team days! Here is the sketch presented this week for you to try:
I think as the temperature has been warming up here (to a whopping 38*!) I have been thinking about all things spring and Easter! Only as I've been going through my stamping supplies, I'm realizing I don't have many spring stamps. And I'm not just saying that so I can buy, buy, buy! Sure, I have a bazillion flower stamps, but no cute bunnies, easter eggs or chicks and n'ere a lily in sight. So, I have to get creative with what I currently own (said as I'm currently online shopping. . . )
Products used to make this card:
Island Indigo cardstock and ink
Pistachio Pudding ink
White Lace Paper doilies
Itty Bitty butterfly Punch
Good Greetings Stamp set
World of Dreams stamp set
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a S-U-P-E-R day!

I am sad to share this news with you - the Blendabilities Product Line has been completely discontinued...
This past weekend six women and myself went to Halladay's Harvest Barn Inn, located in Bellow's Falls, Vermont, for a fun and relaxing crafting weekend getaway. If you have never been on a crafting getaway before, you must go! You literally craft ALL weekend, plus eat. . . Eat and craft for 48 hours. Nothing else. It's AWESOME! You aren't interrupted by laundry, pets, children, cooking, cleaning (insert other "time suck" projects here). Ahhh, heavenly!
Here are some photos:
We are already talking about planning the next crafting getaway weekend, so be sure to check back with Super Stamp Girl for all the details!
I have more exciting Design Team news for you! I was selected to join Creative Vision Stamps this past week on their new Elite Design Team!
About Creative Vision Stamps:
We are a small, but growing family owned stamp company based in Wisconsin. Owners Ron and Laura Bastian are adding products everyday until they reach their goal of 1600 total images, sentiments, and sayings. As of today they are about half way there.
The entire line is now available as deep etch red rubber stamps. No more clear stamps as they struggled with quality and wanted stamps made, pressed, cut, mounted and packaged right here in the USA!
Visit Creative Vision Stamps online here. And, be sure to check back frequently with Super Stamp Girl to see my cards featuring brand new stamps from their growing collection!
