Hello readers and happy Saturday! I hope you have fun things planned for this beautiful day. I wish I could say we did, but honestly there is nothing on our calendar for today or tomorrow and sometimes I like it that way! No obligations or commitments is quite often a blessing in disguise.
I'm happy to be sharing two cards with you today that I designed using an all-new Distinktive stamp set called "All the Good Things." This Asian inspired set features beautiful koi fish and a bonsai tree along with peaceful sentiments. Both cards are complemented by serene color palettes in Soft Sea Foam, Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide. To see another card I created that was inspired by a similar origami stamp set called "Artfully Folded" please click here.

The base of this A2 sized card is made from Mint Macaron cardstock. I cut a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" sheet of Soft Sea Foam cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder before adhering it to the center of the card base. I cut a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Whisper White cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Softly Falling Texturized Embossing Folder and then die cut a large circle in the center. I placed a piece of Acetate cardstock over the back of the circle and made a shaker card frame. I placed Iridescent Sequins in the center of the shaker frame and layered the top Whisper White cardstock piece on the card. I stamped the koi in Soft Sea Foam and Mint Macaron ink, dotting the stamp with a Crumb Cake marker for "spots." I fussy cut the koi and adhered it to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly I added two coats of clear Wink of Stella to the koi for added sparkle.
Today's cards will be entered into the Designer's Choice challenge at SUO Challenges.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Whisper White cardstock. The first matted layer is a 5 1/4" x 4" sheet of Tranquil Tide cardstock. I cut a 5 1"4 x 3" sheet of Mint Macaron cardstock and stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink on the right side. Then I ran this stamped sheet of cardstock through my Big Shot using the Softly Falling Texturized Embossing Folder before adhering it to the center of the card. Using the Layering Circle framelit dies, I cut a large circle out of Whisper White cardstock and adhered it to the card. Using Soft Sea Foam ink, Mint Macaron ink and Tranquil Tide ink, I stamped the two koi fish and then fussy cut them out I adhered the fish to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly I added two coats of Clear Wink of Stella to the koi fish for addes shine.
