Last weekend we attended the Granville Harvest Fair, one of my all-time favorite fall things to do. It is small town simple life at it's best. Town wide tag sales, scarecrow judging contests, craft fairs, and all the pumpkin pie and apple crisp you can eat. It was there I met fellow card artist Elaine Montague, who had a beautiful display of the most elegant hand embroidered cards. These cards were simply stunning. She had embroidered cards for nearly every holiday, weddings and births She had incorporated things I'm already familiar with such as using a Big Shot for texturizing as well as heat embossing. I purchased this Halloween card from her for inspiration. Unfortunately, I learned that Elaine does not teach classes, but, I will be doing some research in the very near future and hope to one day try embroidering cards for myself.
