2nd Degree Burns, a Black Eye, a Flat Tire and 5 Degree Temps! Just your average "Girls Weekend". . .
Thankfully not every girls weekend entails such drama! But, sadly, it's all true! I'm the one with a palm full of 2nd degree burns (from a freak accident microwaving Swedish Fish, yup, the candy, nonetheless!) I'm also the one sporting a tiny black eye. Yet another freak accident in a minivan with a captain's chair like an ejection seat for a pilot of an F-15. The same minivan that had a flat tire after my cousin ran over a curb on the second stop of our Holiday Tour of Homes in Newburyport! And we waited in 5 degree temperatures for AAA. . . Just your average "Girls Weekend!"
Here are some photos. First up is the cottage called "Puddleduck" on Plum Island where we stayed. Obviously mid-December in New England does not really make for a fantastic stay on an island, so there was ZERO beach time!
The infamous "flat tire incident:"
I didn't take a photo of my own blistering hand, but here is my mom and I "pre black eye" incident!
And lastly, some beautiful photos from the Tour of Homes:
