It's not every day that I share where I live with all of cyberspace.
Oh wait, did you think Super Stamp Girl lived in some Super Stampcave? LOL.
So, since it was such a beautiful weekend here on _______ Drive in ________, MA., Mr. SSG and I decided to do some gardening. Well, a bit too much gardening for my taste really. I'm more of a sit back on the deck with a good chick lit book and a glass of sweet tea kinda girl. . .
*Disclaimer: I am not the green thumb that my mother is, so kindly forgive my lack of appropriate Latin terminology when I describe a Syringa (more commonly known as the lilac - thanks Wikipedia) as the "purple flower that smells pretty." If it's not a rose, carnation, hydrangea, or dandelion then I'm admittedly clueless.
The basket on the front stoop was filled with some pretty purple and yellow flowers. (I'm sure some T-er will help me identify these lovelies).
The whiskey barrel got some red ones.
More red ones in another whiskey barrel. Hmmm, one might start to question WHY we have so many whiskey barrels lying around our yard! Actually, funny story, yesterday as Mr. SSG and I were out in the garden he says to me, "Do you think any of our neighbors think we have a gravestone in our garden?" What? Apparently, he feels as though the slate welcome sign is too resemblant of a headstone! I mean, hello, it says "Welcome!"
And finally, a nice tall glass of iced water to keep me hydrated in the heat.
