Hello crafty people and happy Sunday to you! I hope you are enjoying this beautiful weekend! Today I am sharing a card made using a new-to-me stamp set called "Poppy Days" with you. The poppy holds a very special place in my heart, you can click HERE to see the reason why.
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Calypso Coral cardstock. I stamped a simple sentiment using Tuxedo Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and adhered it directly onto the Calypso Coral cardstock base. I found some miscellaneous floral DSP (Designer Series Paper) that matched the Calypso Coral cardstock perfectly and ran it through my Big Shot using a deco-edge stitched die to give it an elegant border. (Sorry, I can't recall where I got that stitched die!) I placed a strip of the floral DSP at the top and bottom of the card.
Be sure to tie Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon on too at the top of the card before you adhere the floral DSP down. Next on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped three poppies. The first solid layering poppy stamp was stamped in Peekaboo Peach ink and then directly over that I stamped the second layering poppy stamp in Calypso Coral ink. I stamped the center of the poppies (or the pistil) in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
Because this stamp set does not have coordinating framelits, I fussy cut the three poppies out and then I adhered them to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals for added height. I also added a small butterfly made from the Bold Butterfly Framelits die and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper for a little sparkle!
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
