Happy Monday! Boy, do I have a story for you behind today's card for the challenge at Pals Paper Arts! First, here is the sketch:
So, this past Saturday evening, we had a neighborhood traveling dinner. It was appetizers at our house, dinner at the next house, dessert at the third and so on and so forth. Well, we never actually made it past the second house as we spent the evening watching the Nascar "Party at the Beach" pre-show and eating venison stew in Neighbor X's "Man Town." (Please do me a favor, save my reputation and forget that I ever mentioned that we watched the Nascar pre-show!!) So, anyway, we were eating venison stew in Neighbor X's "Man Town" and there were 9 (NINE!) mounted deer heads on his Man Town walls! Yes, you read that right, NINE! PLUS, one mounted turkey, two ducks and perhaps a quail or a pheasant too - I'm not entirely sure of the aviary species. I HATE all birds. But, it was a LOT of dead stuffed animals and, yes, it was mildly creepy. Nightmares are made of this stuff. . .
However, I DO think the trophy deer wall might have had something to do with my inspiration for the Pals Paper Arts challenge, don't you??
Of course, I prefer to admire the beauty of nature IN THE WILD, as opposed to IN ONE"S HOUSE!
