Hello readers and happy Saturday to you! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I know it's only August and while some of you might think it's a bit early to be starting Christmas cards, I am just too excited to be playing with many of the fabulous new products in the 2017 Holiday Occasions catalog! You see when a new catalog is released, we, as demonstrators are the first to use and showcase new products and I feel like the pressure is on! You, as the consumer, want to see samples and be WOW'ed BEFORE you purchase these items, too. I think it's great to see my creations be shared all over social media (Pinterest & Instagram) and know that people draw inspiration from them.
Hearts Come Home Bundle
This beautiful stamp set and coordinating dies will be available beginning September 1, 2017.
The base of this A2 sized card is made fromCrumb Cake cardstock. The first 5 1/4" x 4" matted layer is a piece of retired Affectionately Yours DSP. I cut a sheet of Whisper White cardstock to 4 1/4 x 3"4 and matted that with Night of Navy cardstock. On the Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the Santa and sleigh image in Night of Navy ink. I ran a sheet of Night of Navy cardstock through the Hometown Greetings Edgelit dies and then a sheet of Gold Glimmer cardstock through a second Hometown Greetings Edgelit die. I adhered both village pieces onto the sheet of Whisper White cardstock. I wrapped a piece of Night of Navy seam binding ribbon (retired) around these pieces before adhering it to the card front.
On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock, I heat embossed the sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder and punched the greeting out with the retired oval punch. I adhered this to the top right of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Today's card was inspired by the theme at Watercooler Wednesday:
