Cheers to making (and sending) my first ever Hannukah card!
So, this is how the story goes. . . I made a handful of Christmas cards to take to my mother-in-law in the nursing home and let her choose which cards to send to which relatives. I displayed all the cards I had made on the table and our conversation went something like this. . . would Connie like the silver bells or the Christmas tree card? Would Debbie like the snowman or the star card? Then, Mr. Super Stamp Girl says to me, "Ah, Crystal, Dave and Debbie are Jewish." Silence.
I came home that evening only to stand in my craft room looking around.. I knew I did not own a single "Shalom", dreidel, or menorah stamp. Most of my sentiments involved words like "holly jolly" and "Merry something or other" and, the only stars I owned were of Bethlehem and not David. But, I did have a single candle from this Gina Marie Designs Lantern Die and I knew that I could create a beautiful menorah out of elegant blue and silver designer series paper.
Whatever holiday you celebrate during this festive season, I hope it's a merry, blessed, joyful, happy and healthy one.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
