Hello friends and TGIF! I have zero plans for the weekend and I couldn't be more excited!
I'm talking not one single plan, appointment, commitment or place to be. I cleaned my house last night and the laundry was done earlier in the week, so that leaves no "time suck" projects to get in my way either! That means I can dedicate the next two days all to ME! I love my me time!
Me time = crafty time and crafty time = happy time!
What I'm Reading
So, I'm a few years late to this New York Times bestseller. . . . Bossypants is an autobiographical book written by American comedian Tina Fey. Tina Fey rocks as with her spiky blend of humor, introspection, critical thinking and Nora Ephron-isms for a new generation.
What I'm Watching
As a child I grew up with my father watching "Gunsmoke" on TVland, so, who would have thought they could produce a fashion forward, pop-culture hit!?
Younger follows 40-year-old Liza, a suddenly single mother who tries to get back into the working world, only to find out it's nearly impossible to start at the bottom at her age. When a chance encounter with a 20-something guy at a bar convinces her she looks younger than she is, Liza tries to pass herself off as 26 - with the help of a makeover, courtesy of her 40-year old best friend (played by Debbie Mazar).
What I'm DIY'ing
Well, I should say what Mr. Super Stamp Girl is DIY'ing for me. . .
I have used the Ikea Ribba and now the current Mosslanda picture ledges to store of all my stamps for a couple years now and it is, by far, the best organization system I have found. See my craft room video here. I recently purchased 12 additional shelves. When they arrived Mr. SSG asked if I had also bought the installation plan. I said, sure thing, honey, it's written in blood on our marriage certificate! (P.S. he didn't think this was so funny, but, I did promise him an apple pie)!
What I'm Eating
Acai bowls. Acai (pronounced ah-sa-ee) is a South Amazonian berry that is loaded with antioxidants. The acai bowl blends acai berries, raspberries and strawberries into a puree that is then topped with granola, bananas and honey. Perfect as breakfast or a snack!
What I'm Crushing (On)
At the 2015 Heirloom Products Rubberstamp Festival in West Springfield, MA, I first saw the Heartfelt Creations booth and fell in love at first sight. It's true, it does exist! My second sighting was at the Scrapbook Expo in Marlborough, MA, later that same year. These coordinating stamp sets and dies are intricate works of 3D art. I have recently purchased two new sets from them and have been watching non-stop You-Tube videos so, I too, can create amazing cards. . . Someday. . .
Happy Friday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
