When I mentioned in yesterday's post that I had finally found some time to sit down and work on some challenge cards, I literally meant I completed 4 cards in one night!
Today's challenge is from Create with Connie and Mary. Their challenge requires you to use the three colors below:
When I pulled out my "scrap" bags of each of the three colors needed to make the card, this was my exact thought process:
1. Ooh, I love Always Artichoke. It's so green and neutral.
2. Aah, Sahara Sand, another neutral. That'll be my base. I'm in my comfort zone of colors.
3. H-O-L-Y ORANGE!!
Seriously, Tangerine Tango is so NOT neutral! Tangerine Tango is one DNA molecule away from construction zone orange, or Home Depot orange, if you will. It's bright. REALLY bright. Bright colors scare the beejezus out of me.
So, I did what any self respecting card maker who was scared of color would do. . . I tried to hide the orange as much as possible! The end result didn't seem quite so scary.
Notice how I also threw in a fun card fold to help distract from the Day-Glowness of the Tangerine Tango?
Connie and Mary, your challenge really challenged me on this one! I wish I could say you made me like Tangerine Tango, but its retirement can't come soon enough for me.
Thanks for stopping by and have a S-U-P-E-R day!
