It was my dear friend Ginny of Maxam Made Studio that first introduced me to Our Daily Bread Designs at the Big E Heirloom Productions Rubberstamp Festival. I was quite honestly left speechless by their display booth and absolutely stunning card samples. There were layers of gorgeous designer series paper, embellishments and textures. When I saw their creations I thought to myself, "these are exactly the kinds of cards I want to make!"
Today's card utilizes one of the dies I purchased two years ago at this show from Our Daily Bread Designs. While my card is not nearly as elaborate as you might see on an ODBD display board, I am SOoooo in love with the paper from the Love Nicole Paper Pad (photo seen below) used to make this apron.
The base of this A2 sized card was made with Thick Whisper White cardstock. The first matted layer is a piece of Night of Navy cardstock that I ran through my Big Shot die cutting machine using a Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Die from Gina Marie Designs. I die cut the apron from Love Nicole paper. (You can also see another sample of this beautiful paper HERE.) Using a small 1/8" punch, I punched two holes at the top of the apron and thread Night of Navy ribbon through. I adhered the apron to the front of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
The apron pocket was also cut from Night of Navy cardstock and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Using Whisper White Stampin' Emboss powder, I heat embossed the sentiment onto the center of the apron pocket. From a small scrap piece of Blushing Bride cardstock, I die cut the spoon and spatula and stuck them in the apron pocket using Glue Dots.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
