Last week I shared a lot of new videos and products in my Sneak Peek look at the NEW 2017 Stampin' UP! Holiday Occasions catalog. I think you are going to love many of the new stamp sets, framelits and Designer Series Papers just as much as I already do! I FINALLY had the chance to play around with many of these new products last weekend and I've been very happy with what I purchased in the demonstrator pre-order.
Fall is my absolute favorite season of the year (hello all things apple!) and I'm so excited to be breaking out the Cajun Craze cardstock for the first time since last November! This beautiful rich terra cotta color pairs quite festively with the new Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (available September 1). Oh, and I think you are going to L-O-V-E love this new Seasonal Lantern stamp set and Lantern Builder Framelit Dies!
Today I am sharing a fall themed card using this new bundle, but (hint, hint) if you come back tomorrow you'll see how I will also use this set for Christmas. . .
The base of this A2 sized card is made from Cajun Craze cardstock. The first 5 1/4" x 4 matted layer is Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper (not yet available). I die cut a circle of Daffodil Delight cardstock from the Stitched Circle Dies by Gina Marie Designs. I ran this die cut circle through a polka dot embossing folder (retired) and trimmed off the right side of the circle to align it over the Painted Autumn DSP.
Using the new Seasonal Lantern dies and stamp set, I cut the large lantern from a piece of Early Espresso cardstock. I cut the leafy vines from Gold Glimmer paper and adhered them to the top of the lantern with Mini Glue Dots. I tied a small bow usingPumpkin Pie ribbon(similar) and adhered it to the center of the lantern with a glue dot. I adhered the lantern to the circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Using Cajun Craze ink, I stamped the sentiment on a thin strip of Very Vanilla cardstock and adhered it underneath the lantern. I stamped the small gourds in Cajun Craze Ink and the pinecone in Soft Suede ink and adhered them to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly I stamped the candle in Early Espresso ink and adhered it to the center of the lantern.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderfully creative day!
